Sunset Reverie

When earth and sky at sunset meet
In colour harmony sublime
Puny man stands dwarfed
By the architecture of Time
Momentarily he pauses
If his soul the beauty see
Drinking in the glory
Of God's Timeless majesty;
Yet at most Man rarely slackens
In his wealth acquiring stride

Seldom sees the Golden Glory
Transfiguring Time and Tide
Yet should he stand for one brief moment
To glimpse its beauty ...Calm, Serene
Man would turn away uplifted
And enriched ...by the scene.
