Point of View

'Maybe you're right', the old man said
'Its a matter of point of view,
Perhaps I'd think the same lad,
If I were young like you
Likewise, if you were in my shoes
And your years were sixty-three;
I'm sure you'd say I was wrong
If you were me.'

'Its a matter of education, lad
This eternal point of view;
Because the other fellow has one
Its no privilege of a few
The main thing to remember, lad
As you take Life in you're stride;
Your path will be much smoother,
If you see the other's side.
